Dixon County Courthouse and Jail - Needs Assessment

 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETINGS OF THE DIXON COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS AND THE DIXON COUNTY BOARD OF EQUALIZATION

Notice is hereby given that meetings of the Dixon County Board of Supervisors and Dixon County Board of Equalization will be held on May 10, 2022, in the Jury Room in the Dixon County Courthouse in Ponca, Nebraska.  The County Board of Supervisors meeting will begin at 9:00 a.m.  The agenda for such meeting is kept continuously current and is available for public inspection at the office of the County Clerk in the Dixon County Courthouse in Ponca, Nebraska or on the Dixon County website at www.co.dixon.ne.us

This notice is given by direction of the Chairman and Board of Supervisors of Dixon County, Nebraska.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON PETITION FOR ACCESS TO ISOLATED LAND

Notice is hereby given that Carl Kneifl has filed an affidavit pursuant to Section 39-1713 through 39-1719 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes for 1943, as amended, alleging that he is the owner of the following described property, to wit:

The North ½ of the Northwest ¼ of the Southeast ¼ of Section 13, Township 31 North, Range 5, East of the 6th P.M., Dixon County, Nebraska, and of the South-west ¼ of the Northeast ¼ of Section 13, Township 31 North, Range 5, East of the 6th P.M., Dixon County, Nebraska, the greater portion of which has been washed away by the Missouri River:  less a tract of land off the Northwest corner of the North ½ of the Northwest ¼ of the Southeast ¼ of Section 13: and part of the Southwest ¼ of the Northeast ¼ of Section 13, all in Township 31 North, Range 5, East of the 6th P.M., Dixon County, Nebraska:  being 150 feet of frontage on the Missouri River and depth of 300 feet into the bluff and being bounded on the West by Birdlands, Inc. land:  said frontage to follow the river if it moves out, but the 300 feet into the bluff shall remain the same (as set forth in Deed Record 67 at page 246);

that said property is isolated and shut out from all public access and asking that the County provide him with an access road to said property in accordance with Section 39-1713 to 39-1716 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes.

The Dixon County Board of Supervisors has scheduled this matter for public hearing at the Board of Supervisor’s meeting which will be held at the hour of 2:30 o’clock P.M. on Tuesday, May 10, 2022, in the Courtroom located on the second floor of the Dixon County Courthouse in Ponca, Nebraska.

At said hearing the Board of Supervisors will, after hearing comments from the petitioner and all interested parties, consider the merits of the request, and, if it finds that the conditions set forth in Sections 39-1713 or 39-1714 exist, that the isolated land was not isolated at the time it was purchased, that the isolation of the land was not caused by the owner or by any other person with the knowledge and consent of the owner, and that access is necessary for existing utilization of the isolated land, proceed to provide an access road in accordance with Section 39-1716 of the Nebraska Revised Statutes.

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

To All Interested Persons:

Notice is hereby given by the County Attorney, County Clerk and County Treasurer of Dixon County, Nebraska, that they will hold a public hearing on the 13th day of May, 2022, at 10:00 o’clock A.M. in the Jury Room in the Dixon County Courthouse in Ponca, Nebraska, to hear, consider, and take action to fill the vacancy which now exists on the Board of Supervisors of Dixon County, Nebraska, from Supervisor District No. 7.

All interested persons may appear and be heard at said public hearing.

A continually current agenda of all known subjects and matters which will come before said meeting is available for public inspection at the office of the Dixon County Clerk in the Courthouse in Ponca, Dixon County, Nebraska, during normal business hours.
